The prophet Habakkuk said, “God had bright beams coming out of His hand and there was the hiding of His power.” Through His hand, God delivers His power to heal the sick. Transmitting this powerful healing provision of the Father, Jesus often laid His hands on the sick. Through the touch of His hands, healing virtue was administered and the sick and diseased were healed. A man named Jairus came to Jesus one time and said, “Lord, come lay your hand on my daughter and she will live.” Jairus knew about the healing power ministered through Jesus’ hands.
One of the most beautiful prayers the early church prayed was, “Lord, stretch forth Your hand to heal.” The early church knew about the healing power of God that was administered through His hands.
