One way to discover what God is truly like is to take note of the names by which He describes Himself. In Exodus, God described Himself as Jehovah Rapha. The chief meaning of Jehovah is, “to be or to exist.” It can also suggest, “to become known.” The word Rapha means, “to restore, to heal, or to make healthful.” When God declared Himself to Israel as Jehovah Rapha, He was telling them, “I am the God Who heals.”
God’s very name is Healing. And He is the Healer of all your diseases. The prophet Malachi said this, “But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings.”
What an awesome God we serve! He is not only the merciful God Who loves us and pities us in our time of trouble. He is also Jehovah Rapha; our God who heals! You can be healed today and walk in divine health!
